Cedar Lodge 2010

The road trip to Cedar Lodge seemed strangely long this year. We set a record this year though, we only stopped TWICE on our way there. Our family is known for multiple gas stations stops on a road trip. AND (believe it or not), we were the second group to get there this year. Usually, we are the last. :-/ I slept for the majority of the trip, so I don't have many pictures of the car ride.

I see I'm not the only one that's tired...

Someone had to go to the bathroom.... ;)
a very common gas station/grocery type store found up north
before we left, Mom told all of us to get a water bottle for the road.
I have no idea where Daniel found this one, but he insisted on using it.
looks tasty...
Josiah started to get goofy after a while.
I guess that's what happens when you sit for long periods of time...
I got the Packers room again, as always. ;)
I was the only one occupying the room this year since
Hannah wasn't able come with us. :( Missed you, Hannah...
Football...
We took our annual walk to the Dam. It was about 80 degrees,
and the gnats were terrible, so our 5 mile hike seemed exceptionally long...
It was beautiful though :)
 Finally.....the Dam...
That afternoon, we took a pontoon boat
ride out to the dam and around the lake.

John wanted to help drive the pontoon boat... :)
The Dam again...

In early August, a tornado hit this area. It went right over the lake.
There are many Island campsites on this lake, and some of them
had to be closed b/c of all the trees downed by the tornado.
After a while, we all started to get drowsy... :)
It was a warm day, and the noise of the water and the boat
was super soothing. It is a very common thing at Lange reunions
to see people sleeping.  :)
Relaxing after a long day....Good idea.... :)
On Saturday morning Mom, Baki and I went to town to visit all the little shops there.
Usually, the stuff is ridiculously over priced, so we mainly window shopped.
Cute store....ridiculous prices.....
Mom got a bottle of body spray here.
The scent is supposedly not being sold in the U.S. anymore... ;)
thought this was cute...
 Fudge = YUMMY!!! :)
Mom and Baki both decided to take part in the picture.. ;)
They had some awesome bean and rice soup here...
This SWEET dog was kind of a mascot for this Amish Furniture store
Minocqua has some interesting signs... ;)
The Great Loon
That night, Daniel and John decided they
wanted to give the ladies a rest and do the dishes.
How cute! Thanks guys! :)
The Annual Tournament! :)

Josiah and Phil won the tournament, but I didn't get a picture of them.
Congratulations, Guys!

Grandma Lange was helping Daniel color...cute! :)

Group Picture!!! :)
Minocqua has some of the strangest road signs.
Here are a few pictures I got on the way home...
